BEDFORD, Va. (WSET) --The Bedford County Sheriff's Office and Bedford County Fire and Rescue are teaming up with Bedford County Public School System to implement a reading program during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Cpl. David Bishop and his wife Alyson, who is a teacher, came up with the idea as a fun way of connecting students with their own hometown heroes.
Each day, a new video is posted on the Bedford County Sheriff's YouTube channel featuring a different member of emergency services or local leadership each day.
