Not a race, but competitive in spirit, the Franklin County Gran Fondo will cover everything from high mountain gravel to scenic flat pasture land.
A Gran Fondo(aka Sportive) is a mass participation road ride that includes a few sections that are timed so riders can challenge themselves against other participants.
Because only a few sections of this challenging ride are timed, feel free to stop and enjoy our well stocked aid stations and pace yourself enjoy the stunning views, or just to shake your hands out after an exciting timed gravel descent!
Merchandise prizes for top timed segments will include tasty items baked or fermented in Virginia's Blue Ridge.
