Hollywood legend MICKEY ROONEY died yesterday.  He was 93 years old.

Rooney famously did several movies with JUDY GARLAND, including musicals like 1939's "Babes in Arms".

He also starred opposite ELIZABETH TAYLOR in "National Velvet", and played AUDREY HEPBURN'S very politically incorrect Asian neighbor in "Breakfast at Tiffany's" in 1961.

His other classic roles include "The Black Stallion", "It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World", and the first "Night at the Museum".  He even did a twilight episode as a jockey who wanted to be a big man . . . but then became too big to ride.

He was also the voice of Santa Claus in the claymation holiday classics "Santa Claus is Comin' to Town" and "The Year Without a Santa Claus".

Rooney was married EIGHT times, starting with AVA GARDNER back in 1942.
